This LifeLink Cookie Policy explains how LifeLink (“LifeLink", "we", "us", and "ours") use cookies and similar technologies to recognize when you visit our Sites, such as www.lifelinksystems.com ("Site"). It explains what the technology is and why we use them, as well as your rights with respect to cookies.

Cookies Explained

Cookies remember things about your visit to our Site, such as your preferred language and other choices/settings and generally make the site easier to use. They can also be used for relevant advertisements.

There are various types of cookies that may be applicable.

Why Do We Use Cookies And/Or Their Functional Equivalents?

We use cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Sites to operate, and are referred to as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. We use these essential cookies to:

Other cookies remember information about your browser and your preferences. For example, cookies help us remember your preferred language or the country that you are in. We can then provide you with content in your preferred language without having to ask you each time you visit our Sites.

Cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Sites. For example, these types of cookies help us test different versions of our Sites to see which particular features or content users prefer.

To help us better understand how people use our Sites, certain third parties serve cookies through our Sites for advertising, analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below. We don’t release the information collected from our own cookies to any third parties, other than to our service providers who assist us with cookie activities.

The specific types of cookies served through our Sites and the purposes they perform are described in the table below:

Google Analytics – LifeLink chatbot & marketing site usage tracking

*Note: LifeLink may, when requested by a LifeLink customer, also configure analytic tools for our customers, e.g. Google Analytics (including DoubleClick) and/or Facebook tracking tools to enable the customer to track the flow of traffic from and/or back to their website(s).

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies to help us analyze how users use the Site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the U.S. In case of activation of IP anonymization, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the E.U. as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the EEA. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the U.S. On behalf of the Site, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Site, compiling reports on your activity for us and third parties who help operate and provide services related to the Site. Google does not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
Targeting cookies: These cookies are used to make advertising messages more relevant to you. They perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing, ensuring that ads are properly displayed for advertisers, and in some cases selecting advertisements that are based on your interests. Although we do not display advertising on our Sites, we may use cookies for targeting advertising to you through 3rd party services after you leave our site. Other Tracking Technologies (Web Beacons)

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a Site. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Sites or opened an email that we have sent them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our Sites to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Sites from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party Site, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of email marketing campaigns. We use web beacons as part of the LifeLink usage tracking technology. Although third party services receive anonymized data, We retain the ability to re-connect usage to other user data We store for debugging purposes. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

Flash Cookies and Local Shared Objects

While we do not use Flash cookies, our Sites may also use HTML5 local storage capabilities (also known as Local Shared Objects or "LSOs") to, among other things, collect and store information about your use of our services, fraud prevention and for other site operations. Because web browser configurations differ in the way they accept or reject LSOs, and the storage location depends on the operating system, we recommend that you follow the guidance for their removal from your web browser and operating system provider.

Targeting Advertising

Third parties may serve cookies through our site on your computer or mobile device for advertising. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other Sites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services that you may be interested in. They may also employ technology that is used to measure the effectiveness of advertisements. This can be accomplished through cookies or web beacons to collect information about your visits to this and other sites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services of potential interest to you. The information collected through this process does not enable LifeLink or third party service providers to identify your name, contact details or other personally identifying details unless you choose to provide these.

Please note that to the extent advertising technology is integrated into our Site, you may still receive advertising content even if you opt-out of targeted advertising. In that case, the advertising content will just not be tailored to your interests.

How Can I Manage or Disable Cookies?

For Strictly Necessary and Functionality cookies which are essential to our Site and which are required in order to deliver the Site to you, you cannot refuse them.
