About the Position
Implementation Engineers work closely with Solutions Consultants, Product Managers, Conversational Designers and the core platform engineering team to build, configure, and launch effective conversational patient engagement solutions.
As an Implementation Engineer, you will:
- Be part of a collaborative team creating compelling patient experiences for our healthcare clients
- Build complex solutions with Lifelink’s Domain Specific Languages (DSLs) for bot scripting, workflow orchestration, data assimilation, automated testing, and other workflow automation components, AI, along with some JavaScript
- Develop a deep understanding of patient journeys and health care provider workflows
- Provide a technical perspective in UX design discussions
- Troubleshoot technical issues during testing sessions and once the solutions are live
- Be on-call to investigate and troubleshoot production issues during working hours
- Have the opportunity to contribute to building/updating existing functionalities in our platform core

Required Skills and Experience
- An undergraduate degree with coursework in STEM subjects or equivalent work experience
- Strong English speaking and writing skills
- 1 year or more of coursework in at least one modern programming language like JavaScript, Python, or Java
- Strong foundation in relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix commands for navigating file systems, managing processes, and handling basic system administration tasks
- Ability to manage version control from the command line using Git commands (e.g., git pull, git clone, git push, git status, git branch)
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes
- Strong communication skills and an ability to establish trust with people who are different from yourself
- A passion for creating engaging user experiences that deliver demonstrable value
- An ability to deconstruct projects into actionable work, disambiguate complex problems, manage expectations, and communicate what you need to be successful
- An ability to deliver what people want/need, not just what they ask for
- Evidence of a capacity for exceptional performance (e.g., a degree from a top-tier university or program, entrepreneurial experience, etc.)
Other Valuable Skills
- Prior software engineering experience or a computer science degree
- Experience with cloud computing, especially AWS (S3, AWS CLI, CloudWatch, SQS)
- Experience with Machine Learning, training data, features, models, data preprocessing and transformation, Natural Language Processing
- Experience in health care (e.g., experience as a clinical care coordinator or nurse)
- Experience with Agile and/or Lean methodologies
